Ee Adutha Kaalathu (Malayalam: ഈ അടുത്ത കാലത്ത്, English translation:In Recent Times) is an upcoming Malayalam film scripted by Murali Gopy and directed by Arun Kumar Aravind.[1][2][3][4][5] It marks the second directorial venture by Arun Kumar Aravind, after his notable directorial debut through Cocktail. The movie is produced by Raju Malliath under the banner Ragam Movies. Ee Adutha Kaalathu is the first independent production endeavor by Raju Malliath, who has been previously associated with movies like Bhramaram, Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal and Sreekrishna Parunthu. Kerala State Award winning cinematographer Shehnad Jalal handles the camera.[6]

The movie is a romantic thriller which is patterned like a jigsaw puzzle. It features the lives of six different persons from different strata of the social life of the city, interconnected due to unexpected events beyond their control. Bengali model and theater artiste Tanushri Ghosh makes her Mollywood debut with this movie.[7] The cast include Indrajith Sukumaran, Murali Gopy, Anoop Menon, Nishan and Mythili.[8][9][10][11]

Music composition by Gopi Sundar to lyrics by Rafeeq Ahmed.[12]

The shooting of the movie has completed and is currently under its post-production works. It is set to be released in February 2012.[13]

Production

Ee Adutha Kaalathu started its shooting on 12th September 2011 at Thiruvanathapuram.[15] The official teaser was released on 5th September, even before the commencement of shooting. [16] The teaser has been highly appreciated for its originality, the use of Malayalam words and for the background score.[17]

The second schedule of shooting started on 28th October.[18] Almost the whole movie was shot at Thiruvananthapuram except for few scenes which were shot at Nagercoil. Shooting of the movie has completed and is currently under its post-production works.
